Sintered SmCo Magnet
Sintered SmCo Magnet is a kind of rare earth magnet, is made of samarium, cobalt and other metal rare earth materials by proportioning, melting into alloy, after crushing, pressing, sintering made of a magnetic tool material, with high magnetic energy product, very low temperature coefficient, the highest working temperature up to 350℃, negative temperature is not limited, in the working temperature above 180℃,It has higher BHmax, coercivity, temperature stability and chemical stability than Ndfeb permanent magnet material.
Samarium cobalt permanent magnet materials mainly fall into two series: 1:5 type (SmCo5) and 2:17 type (Sm2Co17).
Sintered SmCo Magnets are brittle and fragile, so traditional machining techniques cannot be adopted. Grinding wheels with high diamond content must be used and cooled with water or oil.
Feature
◆The Curie temperature of samarium cobalt permanent magnet material is between 710 ~ 880℃, and the highest working temperature is between 250 ~ 350℃, which is higher than the highest working temperature of Ndfeb permanent magnet material of 230℃;
◆Sintered SmCo Magnet material has better corrosion resistance than Ndfeb;
◆When the working temperature is higher than 150℃, SmCo magnet material has lower flux loss than Ndfeb;
◆SmCo5 magnets has a maximum magnetic energy product of about 18MGOe (140kJ/m3) and a reversible Br temperature coefficient of -0.05%/℃;
◆Sm2Co17 magnet has a maximum magnetic energy product of 30MGOe (240kJ/m3), which is very difficult to fabricate. Its cobalt ratio is lower than that of SmCo5, and the cost of raw materials is lower;
◆Sm2Co17 magnet has excellent corrosion resistance and high temperature stability. Compared with other rare earth permanent magnets, its Br reversible temperature coefficient is the lowest, the typical value is -0.03%/℃;
Application
Especially in the magnet operating temperature, high temperature, high humidity or other high corrosion environment.
